Autism evaluation
The evaluation that opens EIDBI funding in Minnesota. Performed in-house by our Clinical Director.

What we evaluate
Most families who come to us already have a diagnosis. What they need next is a formal evaluation called the CMDE. That's what we do here.
The CMDE (Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation) is required in Minnesota before your child can access EIDBI services in Minnesota. Our Clinical Director, a licensed professional counselor, does this evaluation in-house. If you want the full explainer on what a CMDE is and what to expect, read what is a CMDE.
If you already have paperwork from past evaluations or doctor visits, bring it along. We can build on the records you already have, so you don't start from scratch.
Other tools we use
- ADOS-2: An in-person observation for kids under 6. Done in-house.
- M-CHAT-R: A 20-question screener for parents of toddlers. Free. We email it to you on request.
- CAST: An online screener for older children.
What if my child doesn't have a diagnosis yet?
Call us anyway. We'll walk through a screener with you, look at what you already have, and help connect you with the right provider if a formal diagnosis is the next step. Once that's done, we complete our evaluation and usually start treatment within 14 days.
