ABA therapy

In-house therapy for kids 18 months to 11 years. Play-based, built around your child's pace.

How we practice ABA

Every session starts with where your child is that day, not with a goal sheet or wherever we happened to leave off last week.

We work on skills one step at a time, so your child knows exactly what's being asked and gets a warm, clear response right away. Then we take those same skills into the ordinary moments where they actually have to work, like playing or sitting down for a snack.

We check in throughout. When your child tells us they need a break, we stop. This work happens with your child, not around them.

Our Lead Behavior Analyst wrote a plain-language piece about why starting early makes such a difference. Read it here.

When ABA is part of a bigger plan

For some kids, ABA is all they need. These are children who are already communicating and doing okay with their senses, and who mainly need focused support with behavior or with getting along with other kids.

For others, speech and OT need to be part of the picture too. When that's the case, both are right here at our Fridley center. Our therapists talk to each other and work from the same plan, so what happens in one session carries into the others.

You don't have to figure out which one your child needs before you call. We start with where they are and go from there.
